Shawn Griffin

Shawn Griffin was born and raised right here in Hingham and has resided on the South Shore for his entire life. After graduating from Hingham High School in 1985 he attended Bentley College, now Bentley University, as an accounting major.

After taking some time off from college and working in the retail trade, he decided to return to UMass Boston and complete his accounting degree. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the UMass Boston College of Management with a concentration in Accounting in 2009. While attending UMass Boston he worked at State Street Corporation and also worked part time preparing taxes for a CPA in Cohasset. After graduating with his degree, Shawn performed contract work for CPAs and small businesses on the South Shore. He also performed bookkeeping and tax services for these businesses and individuals. Shawn also became involved with a few 501(c)(3) Charitable organizations, including being the Treasurer of the Magical Moon Foundation in Marshfield. This foundation assists children with cancer and their families in dealing with the disease and their often painful treatments. In the summer of 2012, Shawn met a CPA from Hingham named Adam Dworkin who was in the process of opening in his own accounting firm. They discovered that they share the same business philosophy in regards to performing accounting and tax services for businesses and individuals, and Adam asked him to join in his venture.
